We are proud to recognize Allie Houser, a graduating student from the Aviation Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program at Sandwich Secondary School, for her outstanding initiative in creating a meaningful learning experience for her peers.
Allie recently organized an enriching visit to the University of Waterloo for Grade 11 SHSM Aviation students participating in the Check Pilot program. As part of the visit, students had the opportunity to meet with renowned aviation expert Dr. Suzanne Kearns, PhD. Dr. Kearns delivered a compelling presentation on the future of aviation, sparking thoughtful discussion and curiosity among the group.
The day also included a dynamic aviation-themed activity that encouraged collaboration and deepened student engagement. A major highlight was the chance for each student to explore the university鈥檚 state-of-the-art flight simulator, gaining hands-on experience that brought their classroom learning to life.
